Korea- U.S. Science Cooperation Center (KUSCO)

The NRF was founded on June 26, 2009 through a merger of the Korea Science and Engineering Foundation (KOSEF), the Korea Research Foundation (KRF), and the Korea Foundation for International Cooperation of Science and Technology (KICOS). The aim of the NRF is to optimize and advance the national basic research funding system that encompasses all academic research fields.


Korea- U.S. Science Cooperation Center (KUSCO)

Korea-U.S. Science Cooperation Center (KUSCO) is a non-profit organization, established in Vienna, Virginia in 1997. KUSCO was established to accomplish two major missions: to enhance cooperative efforts in S&T between Korea and the U.S. and to support Korean-American scientists & engineers here in the United States. Since its foundation, KUSCO has put forward the best efforts to manifest its mission of promoting scientific and technical cooperation between the two nations and to expand the professional networks in the field of science and technology


National Science Foundation (NSF)

The National Science Foundation (NSF) is an independent federal agency created by Congress in 1950 "to promote the progress of science; to advance the national health, prosperity, and welfare; to secure the national defense…" With an annual budget of about $6.9 billion (FY 2010), NSF is the funding source for approximately 20 percent of all federally supported basic research conducted by America's colleges and universities.
